Job summary

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin 9 is seeking a Critical Care Post Graduate Diploma Co-Ordinator (CNM 2) to lead postgraduate nursing education within the ICU. The role involves coordinating the Critical Care postgraduate diploma, delivering modules, and ensuring high standards of clinical education in partnership with education teams and external institutes.

Responsibilities include program coordination, staff development, assessments, and mentorship of postgraduate students, with a strong emphasis

Qualifications

• Be registered in the relevant division of the NMBI.
• Have at least 5 years post-registration experience, with 3 in the speciality.
• Hold a Level 9 qualification on the NFQ.
• Hold a Postgraduate qualification in ICU/critical care nursing.
• Hold or be willing to undertake a Postgraduate diploma/Masters in Clinical Health Science Education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the programmes with the Senior Education Coordinator and CNMs.
• Deliver lectures and tutorials for the Postgraduate Diploma Nursing (Critical Care).
• Plan and implement education and development programmes for nursing staff.
• Provide clinical supervision to postgraduate students during placements.
• Carry out assessments and ensure course documentation meets requirements.
• Liaise with ICU CNM3 to identify learning needs and develop new nursing roles.
