Job summary

SSE Thermal is delivering a major pipeline of low carbon infrastructure projects in Ireland, including hydrogen and CCS developments. You will support Senior Project Managers from early development through Final Investment Decision, liaising with a broad range of stakeholders to drive delivery and build robust business cases.

This permanent, full-time role is based in Dublin with a 50% in-office requirement and Flexible First options.

Qualifications

• Experience in large capital infrastructure project development in energy, power, or hydrogen sectors.
• Engineering qualification with knowledge in infrastructure or power generation technologies.
• Experience in developing investment cases, managing risk, and delivering commercially sound outcomes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Managers in overseeing complex projects from early development through Final Investment Decision (FID).
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Provide input in development activities including planning consent, procurement strategies, risk management, and execution planning.
• Contribute to the development of robust project business cases, manage development expenditure (Devex), and secure internal approvals.
• Delivering timely project updates and executive reports, track KPIs, and escalating risks or issues with clear solutions.
