Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Operations’ Research and Development Centre in Galway offers a Systems/Software Engineer internship. You’ll join a Scrum team and work on a range of technologies from Java and C++ to React.js, with hands-on experience in AI-enabled cloud tools.

The role is hybrid, based in Galway, with about two days per week in the office. Starting 11 January 2027 for ~8 months, you will be mentored by senior engineers and gain exposure to the full development lifecycle, DevOps

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a University and eligible to work in Ireland full-time during the internship.
• Openness to learning modern software development practices, tools, and frontend technologies.
• Be part of a Scrum team delivering well-tested releases and responding to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software across full stack in an Agile team.
• Collaborate with mentors to learn modern cloud technologies and AI capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous delivery and project milestones during the internship.
