Job summary

IBM Ireland offers a 6- or 9-month placement for students completing a placement year, with a hybrid work model. The role spans backend, frontend, DevOps, and quality engineering, and supports cloud-native AI-enabled services. Start dates January–March 2027, on-site in Mulhuddart with three days on campus and flexible remote days. Strong programming knowledge across Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Rust, Go is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in algorithms, data structures and software engineering principles.
• Exposure to languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, React, and Go.
• Understanding of container tech (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend development and API design for hybrid cloud solutions.
• Create engaging frontend features and improve user experiences.
• Assist in DevOps, CI/CD and cloud-native delivery practices.
