Job summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, seeks a Production Support Engineer in Dundalk, Ireland. You will be the primary interface between Design Engineering and Manufacturing, providing technical support to LV switchgear production and ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance on the shop floor.

You will liaise across engineering, quality, procurement and manufacturing, review drawings and BOMs, revise designs as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives while supporting

Qualifications

• Must have a third level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years in an electrical manufacturing environment (LV/MV Switchgear, Busduct, UPS).
• Experience supporting production builds and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Knowledge of IEC 61439 and its application to LV Switchboard manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong problem solving, root cause analysis and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering design support to production teams.
• Liaise between Design Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve assembly, wiring, busbar and testing issues.
• Review manufacturing drawings, schematics, and BOMs for completeness and manufacturability.
• Revise design drawings and BOMs where necessary.
• Support production personnel with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Participate in daily production meetings and manufacturing reviews.
• Identify manufacturing risks and opportunities for improvements in designs.
• Support quality investigations and IEC 61439 compliance.
• Coordinate FAT activities with Test Teams and troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
• Review work instructions, SOPs and process documentation.
• Communicate engineering changes to the shop floor.
• Assist in non-conformance investigations and customer complaints.
• Drive the 'As-Built' documentation process.
• Manage the Site Material Request (SMR) process.
• Support internal and external audits.
