Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineer to help build, operate, and advance the distributed compute platform that supports internal development teams across the company. This role covers the full software lifecycle—design, development, testing, operations, and continuous improvement.

You will work as part of a collaborative team on reliable distributed services, taking ownership of defined problems, and contributing to the long-term evolution of the platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience with testing, debugging, code quality and design principles.
• Experience building production backend software in Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience building and operating software on cloud infrastructure and working with distributed systems.
• Experience owning technical work from implementation through to production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver features and improvements to distributed services used across Autodesk.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements to reliability and scalability of platform services.
• Help internal development teams succeed on the platform by answering questions and providing sample code and patterns.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to support production systems.
