Job summary

Accountancy & Business Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a health sector payroll role in Dublin.

The position is hybrid with up to 4 remote days per week, based at Dublin City Centre with references to 25/26 Merchant’s Quay, Dublin 8. The ideal candidate will have IPASS qualification (or working towards it), at least 2 years of payroll experience, and strong knowledge of Irish payroll processing.

Qualifications

• Ideally IPASS qualified or working towards
• At least 2 years' payroll experience
• Ability and track record of working to tight deadlines
• Thorough knowledge of Irish payroll processing
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – fully fluent written and spoken English essential
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to take ownership of your role

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly payroll for multiple payrolls
• Review and confirm payroll submissions
• Process payroll journals and statutory requirements
• Maintain relationships internally and externally
• Support on projects to upgrades to payroll system
• Bank account management and reconciliations
• Provide payslips and monthly reports
• Process starters and leavers
• Handle payroll queries
• Adhere to deadlines for statutory returns
• Participate in payroll process improvement projects and automation
• Produce reconciliation and comparison reports
• Perform other ad-hoc payroll duties as required
