Job summary

ORS is seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join our Ireland-based team. You will work on the design and delivery of fire safety solutions across a range of building projects, from design through construction, collaborating with senior engineers, architects, design teams, contractors and clients.

The role requires a Level 8 degree in Fire Engineering, 2-5+ years consultancy experience, and involvement with FSC/DAC applications.

Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-5+ years of consultancy experience in fire safety.
• Experience preparing Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) applications.
• Knowledge of Irish fire safety legislation, guidance and Building Regulations.
• Ability to review drawings and develop fire safety solutions.
• Experience attending site inspections and project meetings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to reliably commute to sites and attend in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire safety strategies and technical fire engineering solutions for a range of building types.
• Prepare FSC and DAC applications and supporting documentation.
• Review design drawings for compliance with fire safety requirements.
• Prepare fire safety reports and other project documentation.
• Attend site inspections and coordinate with design teams and clients.
• Manage project deliverables and documentation in line with quality procedures.
