Job summary

Celtic Careers in Dublin is seeking an experienced Buyer or Inventory Planner with 2-3 years in purchasing, stock management or supply chain to manage a defined supplier portfolio and keep stock available while controlling inventory levels.

You will forecast demand, place POs, monitor stock, lead times and supplier performance, collaborate with international teams, support sales, and generate reporting—driving efficient procurement and reducing excess stock.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years' experience in buying, purchasing, inventory or stock management.
• Hands-on experience with forecasting and purchase orders.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
• Experience working with international suppliers / supply chains.
• Asian / Chinese supplier experience highly desirable.
• Strong Excel skills Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• SAP Business One experience desirable.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Commercial, proactive and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand and place/manage purchase orders.
• Monitor stock levels, stock cover and availability.
• Manage open POs, supplier schedules and lead times.
• Communicate with suppliers and follow up on delivery issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
• Work closely with an international purchasing team.
• Support Sales with stock availability and larger orders.
• Identify and reduce excess and slow-moving stock.
• Produce purchasing, stock and forecasting reports.
