Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Manager, Benefits Operations to lead global benefits administration for EMEA within People Services. You will coordinate health, welfare and retirement programs, provide Tier 2 support, and work with payroll, HRBPs, vendors and brokers to optimize processes.

The role requires independence, strong problem solving, and driving improvements while coordinating with internal and external partners. Hybrid, 50% on-site, in a dynamic, global pharma environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• CIPD certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in benefits administration.
• Experience with self-insured plans; Medicare/retirement knowledge.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Workday/Benifex preferred.
• Experience implementing new benefit technologies and process redesigns.
• Knowledge of HR policies and regional benefits legislation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end operations of benefits programmes, including medical, pensions and wellness.
• Serve as senior SME for benefit operations with internal and external partners.
• Coordinate feasibility and implementation of plan changes with SMEs.
• Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and streamline processes.
• Manage eligibility, enrollments, status changes, terminations and claims.
• Oversee renewals, enrollment windows, and annual enrollment planning.
• Analyze enrollment data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
• Document benefit provisions and update knowledge articles and workflows.
• Escalate complex issues and resolve Tier 2 benefit cases in ServiceNow.
• Create controls over benefit utilizations and manage invoicing for carriers.
