Job summary

UnitedHealth Group (Optum) is seeking a Principal AI Product Manager in a hybrid Dublin-based role to own the strategy, discovery, and delivery of AI-powered products, analytics solutions, and ML capabilities embedded in healthcare workflows. The role requires senior-level product judgment, expertise in AI/ML, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Significant experience in product management leading AI/ML or analytics products
Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, predictive modeling, or decision intelligence
Strong ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of modern product management practices including OKRs and continuous discovery

Responsibilities

Own the product portfolio strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for AI-powered products, analytics solutions, and ML capabilities
Lead continuous product discovery to identify high-value problems and define outcome-oriented opportunities
Define product vision, success metrics, business cases, and OKRs
Partner with Data Scientists, Engineers, and Data Product teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities
Communicate product strategy, progress, and risks to executive leadership
