Job summary

Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services in Dublin is seeking a Dietitian for a specified purpose duration, employed on a 1.0 WTE or 0.5 WTE basis and based in Harold’s Cross. The role requires a strong clinical background in nutrition support and up-to-date CPD, with responsibilities spanning palliative and older person care within a multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants must hold a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics, CORU registration, and a full driving licence.

Job description

Essential Requirements

• 1.0 WTE/0.5WTE (35 hours/17.5 hours per week)
• Specified purpose duration contract
• H.S.E. funded
• Based in Harold’s Cross

Experience

• At least three years of relevant clinical experience
• Clinical experience in the management of Enteral Nutrition
• Evidence of continuing professional development

Qualifications

• BSc Human Nutrition & Dietetics
• or
• Hold a comparable qualification recognised by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU
• Maintain live annual registration on the Dietitian’s Registration Board at CORU.
• Full driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

• Postgraduate education in a Dietetic or Healthcare related topic

Desirable Experience

• Clinical experience in the management of Parenteral Nutrition
• Relevant previous dietetic experience in any of the following areas:
  • Palliative Care
  • Care of the Older Person
  • Neurology
  • Oncology/ Haematology
  • Or services for people with life limiting conditions
• Previous research/clinical audit related to palliative care or care of the older person.
