Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking a Mobile HVAC Technician to perform planned preventive maintenance across site equipment in the Dublin area. The role requires hands-on service of mechanical, electrical, and non-technical assets with a focus on reliability and safety.

You will liaise with the service desk, support subcontractors, and uphold CAFM reporting and SLAs. Flexibility for out-of-hours work and site visits is required in line with operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Formal HVAC training/certification in servicing split A/C and AHU systems.
  • Experience with large chillers and air handling plants is desirable.
  • Full driving license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on equipment under Apleona Ireland Group control.
  • Service mechanical, electrical and non-technical equipment.
  • Liaise with the service desk and respond to technical and non-technical queries to meet SLA.
  • Assist subcontractors as required.
  • Maintain CAFM system and generate reports.
  • Provide cover for out-of-hours work on a rotational basis.

Job description

At Apleona, we are currently recruiting for a Mobile HVAC Technician in Dublin area.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under Apleona Ireland Group control
  • Servicing of mechanical, electrical and non technical equipment
  • Liaise with the service desk and respond to all non technical and technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement
  • Assist subcontractors as required
  • To be a self performing technician and continuously strive for self improvement.
  • Ensure any training deemed necessary by the M&E Manager is completed
  • Must be willing to take on and familiarise with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary to carryout role
  • Ensure service work reports are signed off by client or representative/reports are submitted when necessary
  • Assist with all queries regarding quotations and purchasing when requested
  • Maintain and maximize use of CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system
  • Maintain an internal 'Best Practice' regime and encourage continuous improvements
  • Assist the M&E Manager with churn and projects as required
  • When applicable Investigate infrastructure shortfalls and promote remedial actions
  • Provide relevant information to assist with the generation of reports
  • Ensure compliance at all times with Health and Safety and legislative requirements associated with Technical Services
  • Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with all current regulations associated with Technical Services
  • Ensure that EH & S procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Report of any accident, incidents and out of place findings to the client / M&E Manager
  • Provide cover to sites for out of hours situations on a rotational basis.
  • You may be asked to work overtime to cover out of hours work.
  • Take on adhoc projects from time to time as deeded necessary by the M&E Manager or representative
Qualifications and Experience
  • Formal training / certification in servicing split a/c, Air handling plants Full driving license
  • Safepass
  • Experience in maintaining and servicing large chillers installations / large Air Handling plants
  • A solid knowledge of AHU, ventilation ancillaries and relevant controls a must
  • An RGI qualification and a proven track record in the service and maintenance of oil and gas boilers from domestic to commercial would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience working in a building services maintenance role.
  • Scope of works will also encompass works on wet systems, LPHW and CHW, therefor a strong knowledge of plumbing and fitting is a pre-requisite.
