Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician for National Children's Hospital, Dublin. You will maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot mechanical HVAC plant and controls to ensure reliability and energy efficiency on site.

You will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with contractors, uphold safety standards, and document inspections and repairs. The role offers opportunities for CPD and career progression within a leading engineering contractor.

Qualifications

• Time served HVAC technician or equivalent with refrigeration/AC experience.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer guidelines and maintenance standards.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in HVAC maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot HVAC plant and controls.
• Regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of HVAC plantroom equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues to minimise downtime.
• Assess and implement energy-efficient upgrades where appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to schedule tasks.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and a safe working environment.
• Document maintenance activities and report recommendations for improvements.
