Position Type: Part Time (3 Month Contract with potential to go perm)
Our client is an internationally acclaimed, world-class restaurant group celebrated for its premium dining experiences and exceptional people-first culture. They believe that delivering world-class hospitality begins with being a world-class employer.
To lead their Dublin operations, they are seeking an experienced, proactive HR Manager to take ownership of the site’s people agenda, drive high engagement, and deliver operational HR excellence.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of HR and working closely with site leadership, you will lead all day-to-day people operations across the Dublin restaurant. This is a comprehensive, standalone generalist position where you will partner with managers to deliver an outstanding employee experience, uphold strong company values, and ensure strict compliance with Irish employment legislation and WRC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Legal Compliance: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring all employment documentation, right-to-work checks, and employee records remain audit-ready and compliant with Irish employment law and WRC inspection standards. Monitor break entitlements and ensure adherence to working time regulations.
- Employee Relations & Manager Coaching: Lead end-to-end ER casework (performance, conduct, grievances, absence, probation) with consistency, fairness, and commercial acumen. Coach and empower site managers in people leadership and maintain the Ireland-specific HR People Management Toolkit.
- Payroll & Systems Oversight: Oversee the fortnightly payroll and tronc processes in close collaboration with the central payroll team. Maintain system data integrity across platforms like Timepoint, ensuring all starter/leaver updates and leave records are accurate.
- Recruitment, Onboarding & Training: Partner with hiring managers and central recruitment on local staffing needs. Lead an engaging onboarding and probation experience, and coordinate ongoing staff development and training initiatives (e.g., via Thrive).
- Statutory Family Leave & Well-being: Manage all statutory leave processes (maternity, paternity, parental, adoptive leave) and act as the supportive point of contact throughout the employee journey.
- Culture, Engagement & People Metrics: Drive local employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, recognition, and internal communications. Track and analyse monthly HR metrics (turnover, absence, ER trends) to inform operational decisions.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven track record in an HR Manager, People Manager, or standalone generalist role with full ownership of employee relations and day-to-day HR operations.
- Irish Employment Law: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Irish employment legislation, statutory processes, and WRC inspection standards.
- ER Expertise: Hands-on experience independently managing ER cases across conduct, performance, absence, and grievance procedures.
- Systems & Data: Practical experience with HR/workforce management systems (e.g., Harri, Timepoint, Thrive, or similar), and comfortable monitoring key HR metrics.
- Working Style: Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment, balance competing priorities, and build trusted relationships with managers and staff alike.
- Qualifications & Industry (Advantageous): Previous HR experience within hospitality, retail, or fast-paced operational environments is a distinct plus, as is CIPD accreditation (Level 5 or working towards).
