Job summary

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, seeks an HSS Advisor to lead Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environmental standards across its West of Ireland projects. This is a site-based role with weekly travel to project sites.

You will support project teams and supply chain, implement the VB OHS and Environmental management system, attend site meetings, review RAMS and permits, conduct audits, and report HSSE metrics.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in construction industry.
• At least 3 years as a Health and Safety professional.
• Tech IOSH qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSSE advice and support to project delivery teams and stakeholders across 2-4 projects.
• Implement VB OHS and Environmental management system requirements.
• Attend site meetings including start up, project and supply chain meetings.
• Review RAMS, SPAs, permits and training records.
• Carry out audits/inspections per management system.
• Internal reporting of H&S and Environmental metrics (Msite, Econoline, Smart waste).
• Manage training needs of the project team for Health and Safety; deliver courses where appropriate.
• Support Head of Health, Safety and Sustainability in continual improvement of the management systems.
• Assist tender and prequalification teams as required.
• Be aware of legislative changes to provide competent advice to stakeholders.
• Incident reporting and investigation.
• Be aware of own limitations.

We are currently seeking an HSS Advisor to lead Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environmental (HSSE) standards across Vision Built construction projects. The successful candidate will support project teams and the supply chain in implementing, maintaining, and promoting a strong culture of safety and environmental compliance.

This is a site-based role, and candidates must be willing to travel to project sites across the West of Ireland on a weekly basis.

• Provide Health, Safety and Environmental advice and support to project delivery teams and stakeholders across 2-4 projects.
• Implementation of the VB OHS and Environmental management system requirements.
• Attend relevant site meetings including start up meetings, project meetings and supply chain meetings.
• Review of contractor RAMS, SPAs, supporting plans, permits and training records.
• Carry out audits/inspections of Vision Built projects in line with management system.
• Internal reporting of H&S and Environmental metrics on various systems including Msite, Econoline and Smart waste.
• Manage training needs of the project team for Health, Safety and including delivery of courses where appropriate.
• Support the VB Head of Health, Safety and Sustainability in continual improvement of the management systems.
• Assist tender and prequalification teams where required.
• Be aware of critical legislative changes and best practices to enable the provision of competent Health, Safety and Environmental advice to the site stakeholders.
