Job summary

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is seeking a Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environmental (HSSE) Advisor to lead standards across construction projects. The site-based role requires travel to project sites in the Greater Dublin Area and Midlands on a weekly basis.

You will support project teams and supply chain in implementing safety and environmental compliance, performing audits, and driving continuous improvement of management systems.

Qualifications

• Tech IOSH required
• Minimum 3 years in construction industry
• Minimum 3 years as Health and Safety professional
• Strong IT skills in MS Office and OHS/Env reporting systems
• Full clean driver's licence

Responsibilities

• Provide H&S and Environmental advice to project delivery teams across 2-4 projects
• Implement VB OHS and Environmental management system requirements
• Attend site, startup, project and supply chain meetings
• Review contractor RAMS, SPAs, permits and training records
• Carry out audits/inspections of Vision Built projects
• Report H&S and environmental metrics
• Manage training needs for Health and Safety on the project teams
• Support Head of Health, Safety and Sustainability in continual improvement of management systems
• Assist tender and prequalification teams as required
• Monitor legislative changes and best practices for site stakeholders
• Incident reporting and investigation

Overview

Vision Built a Sisk Company, is a leading offsite construction company delivering high-quality modular and panelised building solutions. Our team combines innovation with practical construction expertise to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.We are currently seeking an HSS Advisor to lead Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environmental (HSSE) standards across Vision Built construction projects. The successful candidate will support project teams and the supply chain in implementing, maintaining, and promoting a strong culture of safety and environmental compliance.

This is a site-based role, and candidates must be willing to travel to project sites across the Greater Dublin Area and Midlands on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health, Safety and Environmental advice and support to project delivery teams and stakeholders across 2-4 projects.
• Implementation of the VB OHS and Environmental management system requirements.
• Attend relevant site meetings including start up meetings, project meetings and supply chain meetings.
• Review of contractor RAMS, SPAs, supporting plans, permits and training records.
• Carry out audits/inspections of Vision Built projects in line with management system.
• Internal reporting of H&S and Environmental metrics on various systems including Msite, Econoline and Smart waste.
• Manage training needs of the project team for Health, Safety and including delivery of courses where appropriate.
• Support the VB Head of Health, Safety and Sustainability in continual improvement of the management systems.
• Assist tender and prequalification teams where required.
• Be aware of critical legislative changes and best practices to enable the provision of competent Health, Safety and Environmental advice to the site stakeholders.
• Incident reporting and investigation
• Be aware of own limitations so that advice given remains within those limitations.

Experience

• Tech IOSH
• At least 3 years in construction industry
• At least 3 years as a Health and Safety professional
• Time Management and Organisation Skills
• Interpersonal and engagement skills
• Understand performance management
• Strong IT skills in MS Office tools and OHS/Env reporting systems
• Full clean drivers licence

Qualifications

• Level 7 or Level 8 Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
• Internal Auditor
• Awareness of lifting operations, Temporary Works, PSDP & PSCS Responsibilities
• Incident Investigation Training
