Job summary

NexVent is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Officer for the Greater Dublin region. The role combines office and site-based duties, collaborating with project and construction teams to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across multiple civil engineering and utilities projects.

The successful candidate will lead HSEQ initiatives, maintain ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and drive continuous improvement while advising on risk, training, and

Qualifications

  • Recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety (e.g. BSc in Health & Safety).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar HSEQ role.
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation and requirements.
  • Full clean driving licence and Safe Pass/Manual Handling certification.
  • Experience with incident investigation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive risk assessments and method statements for onsite activities.
  • Review and approve subcontractor risk assessments and method statements.
  • Ensure all project documentation complies with HSA requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all projects.
  • Support project teams in developing and maintaining safe systems of work.
  • Ensure statutory health, safety, and environmental obligations are met.
