NexVentur group is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Officer to support civil engineering and utilities projects across the Greater Dublin region. The role blends office and site work, reporting to the HSEQ Manager, and focuses on implementing and maintaining HSEQ standards in line with legislation and best practice.

Qualifications

• Recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar HSEQ role.
• Strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation and requirements.
• Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
• Good understanding of civil engineering and utilities operations.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare comprehensive risk assessments and method statements for onsite activities.
• Review and approve subcontractor risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure all project documentation complies with Health and Safety Authority (HSA) requirements.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture across all projects.
• Support project teams in developing and maintaining safe systems of work.
• Ensure statutory health, safety, and environmental obligations are met at all times.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ procedures and controls in line with legislation and industry best practice.
• Coordinate site health and safety, inductions, welfare facilities, first aid provision, and emergency arrangements.
• Maintain an active HSEQ monitoring system with regular audits and inspections.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards compliance.
