Job summary

YCR. is seeking a Health & Safety Environmental Assistant for the Dublin Airport West Apron Vehicle Underpass project. You will support the H&S team to meet safety obligations and drive our safety targets on site.

The role reports to the H&S Manager and requires strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation, NEBOSH qualifications, and 5+ years in construction. A full driving license and Safe Pass are essential.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certs or diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years construction experience.
• Full driving license.
• Safe Pass required.
• IOSH membership or willingness to join.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation.
• Computer literate with MS Office.
• Strong numeracy and ability to perform calculations.

Responsibilities

• Support construction teams with risk assessments and safe systems of work (SSoW).
• Advise on SSoW development for planned works.
• Develop and maintain works plans (Logistics, Traffic Management).
• Support workforce enrolment and site induction.
• Ensure training and qualifications of employees.
• Carry out health and safety inspections and audits.
• Attend health and safety meetings chaired by the H&S Manager.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Support incident investigations.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Develop and test best practices for project execution.
