Job summary

Howden Ireland is seeking a HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support across the Retail division from our Dublin or Wexford offices. You will own onboarding, ER administration, Workday transactions, data accuracy and HR process improvements.

In this permanent role you will partner with the HR Advisor, HR Business Partner and Head of HR to deliver a high‑quality, compliant, and employee‑focused HR service across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in HR Generalist/Coordinator/Administrator roles.
• Experience using Workday or another HRIS.
• CIPD qualification or working towards.
• Strong knowledge of ROI employment law; UK law is an advantage.
• Experience supporting employee relations cases (note-taking, letters, scheduling).
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and new joiner processes.
• Process HR transactions in Workday within SLAs.
• Maintain accurate HR records and data integrity across HR systems.
• Respond to HR queries via inbox promptly.
• Prepare employment letters, contract amendments, and HR documentation.
• Assist with ER case preparation and reporting.
• Support talent management and diversity initiatives.
