Job summary

Morgan McKinley seeks an experienced HR Business Consultant to join a leading financial services organisation on a 12-month contract. You will blend HR generalist support, lifecycle management, HR project delivery, and people analytics to drive insightful HR reporting across headcount, attrition, diversity, training, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in an HR role, HR coordination, or HR Business Partnering support capacity.
• Good understanding of core HR lifecycle processes (recruitment, onboarding, performance, engagement, talent, and reward).
• Strong experience working with HR reports, people metrics, and Excel-based datasets, with the ability to analyze information and present clear insights.
• Practical experience supporting Employee Relations (ER) cases and advising line managers on HR guidance and employment legislation.
• Experience supporting HR projects and annual people initiatives in a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Desirable: A third-level qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Generalist & Lifecycle Support: Support the HR Business Partnering team across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, performance, absence management, engagement, and offboarding.
• Annual People Cycles: Assist with coordinating annual HR cycles, including performance and talent reviews, engagement surveys, salary review activity, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
• People Analytics & Reporting: Maintain regular HR reports and metrics (headcount, FTE, attrition, absence, diversity, recruitment, training) to identify key trends, risks, and strategic opportunities for leadership.
• Advisory & Operational Governance: Provide practical HR guidance to managers and employees to ensure consistent application of HR policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices.
• Data Integrity & Tools: Maintain Excel-based HR trackers, templates, and reporting tools, collaborating closely with HR Operations to guarantee accurate employee data across all systems.
• Workforce Planning & Sustainability: Champion internal skill development and mobility using data-driven insights to future-proof the workforce.
