Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment is seeking an HR Officer based in Naas, Co. Kildare. This generalist role focuses on employee relations, performance management, absence management and HR compliance in a fast-paced operation.

You will support managers, handle investigations, transactions, and HR documentation while ensuring GDPR compliance and accurate reporting. Hybrid work available after probation, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong experience in employee relations and investigations.
• Knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
• Act as a key contact for employees and managers on HR policies.
• Advise managers on employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes, investigations and performance management.
• Support workplace investigations in line with policy and law.
• Assist with performance improvement plans, probation reviews and conduct matters.
• Monitor employee absence and return‑to‑work processes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, contracts, documentation and HR administration.
• Maintain confidential records and GDPR compliance.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics (headcount, turnover, absenteeism).
• Assist payroll administration and provide accurate employee information.
• Contribute to HR policies, wellbeing initiatives and HR projects.
