ID Recruitment are working with a growing bio-pharmaceuticalmanufacturing company in Castlebar to recruit a HR Generalist. This role is with within alarge HR and Recruitment team and will be the primary point of contact of theemployees and manage day-to-day HR operations.
This role will be responsible for the consistent applicationof our policies, processes, and guidelines across the business and work closelywith employees from all departments. This role supports the HR Manager inimplementing HR initiatives and strategies that align with organizationalgoals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include;
Employee Relations and Case Management
- Provide support and guidance to management with HR queriesand employee relations issues, including absence management, disciplinary andgrievance, performance and probationary management.
- Independently manage employee relations cases aroundabsenteeism, lateness and verbal level from intake through resolution,including conducting workplace investigations, documenting findings, andrecommending corrective action; escape complex or high-risk cases to the HRManager.
- Provide guidance to leaders and employees on conduct,performance, and disciplinary matters; recommend and facilitate disciplinaryactions, up to and including termination, in consultation with the HR Managerand department leadership; and ensure consistent, legally compliant applicationof policy.
- Serve as an escalation point for employee inquiries,providing guidance on policy interpretation, procedures, and employmentquestions.
- Provide administrative support in HR processes, includingnote taking at investigations or formal meetings.
Payroll & Benefits (EMEA)
- Support in the review and processing bi-weekly payroll.
- Notify HR Operations of any remuneration changes in the HRISor any other relevant systems.
- Support the administration of employee benefits, includinghealth insurance, death in service and pension for all employees across EMEA.
- Manage company cars across EMEA.
- Manage EMEA payroll associated with for both directemployees and employees of record (EOR) through Deel.
HR Administration, Data and Compliance
- Coordinate and support with New Starter process includingpreparation of contracts of employment, new starter packs, and assisting withinitial induction and orientation.
- Manage all probation timelines, ensuring reviews arescheduled and completed on time.
- Manage all contractual changes, including promotions,probations new roles and payroll updates, drafting all changes andcommunicating them to employees.
- Manage and track onboarding and offboarding workflows andsystems.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews.
- Assist with GDPR activities, including policies andtraining, and ensure HR data is managed within the requirements of the HRDepartment.
- Support HR Manager with organisation of Occupational healthassessments.
- Maintain confidential HR data, employee files, anddocumentation in accordance with company and legal requirements.
- Developing and updating HR policies and procedures asnecessary.
- Create, maintain, and update employee files and systems,ensuring accuracy of data.
- Manage medical certificates and return-to-work documentationas part of absence management.
- Support other roles within the HR team including generaloffice administration tasks as required.
Reporting and Projects
- Provide day-to-day tactical HR support across HR operationsand initiatives.
- Support the HR function with resolving any queries in the HRinbox which have escalated and are escalated to the HR Manager in a timelyfashion if necessary.
- Provide metrics for turnover and headcount.
- Provide support to HR Manager with weekly reporting foroperations and monthly reports.
- Contribute to the development of HR projects, initiativesand process improvement.
Qualifications, Education & Experience include;
- BSc in Human Resources or a relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience within a HR support role, ideallywithin a similar fast paced manufacturing environment.
- A thorough knowledge of Employment Law, practices and theirapplication, with a proven track record in dealing with employee relationsissues.
- Strong team player with the ability to engage and influence.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention todetail.
- Strong IT proficiency and administrative skills.
