Job summary

Ipsen is seeking an HR Director to lead the Dublin site, shaping people strategy and driving culture, performance and organisational effectiveness. You will partner with Site Leadership to translate business goals into impactful HR solutions that attract, develop and retain top talent.

You will lead an experienced HR team and oversee workforce planning, design, talent management, succession and employee relations, ensuring compliance and an inclusive, high-performing culture across manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Significant HR leadership experience in a complex, international organisation.
  • Strong expertise in organisational design and talent management.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders in manufacturing/pharma environments.
  • Proven ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders.

Job description

At Ipsen, we are creating real impact every day for patients and society. As HR Director for our Dublin site, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our people, culture and business performance.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Site Leadership Team and partner with senior leaders to drive organisational effectiveness, talent development, employee engagement and cultural transformation at one of Ipsen's key international manufacturing sites.

The Opportunity

As a trusted strategic partner to the Site Head and leadership team, you will lead the people agenda across manufacturing and global functions based in Dublin. You will translate business strategy into impactful HR solutions, ensuring Ipsen continues to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent while fostering an inclusive, high‑performing culture.

You will lead an experienced HR team and influence the full employee lifecycle, from workforce planning and organisational design through to talent management, succession planning, employee relations and engagement.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business objectives
  • Serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, driving organisational performance and transformation
  • Lead talent, succession and leadership development initiatives that build future capability
  • Champion employee engagement, wellbeing and a strong speak‑up culture
  • Oversee employee relations, ensuring compliance with Irish employment legislation and Ipsen policies
  • Drive excellence across core HR processes, including performance, compensation and talent reviews
  • Collaborate closely with Centres of Excellence across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Reward and Internal Communications
  • Use people insights and workforce analytics to inform strategic decision‑making
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing HR team

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders in manufacturing, biotechnology or pharmaceutical environments
  • Strong expertise across organisational design, talent management, employee relations and change leadership

  • Exceptional communication, leadership and relationship‑building skills
  • A data‑driven mindset with strong business acumen
  • Experience leading teams and driving cultural transformation in fast‑paced environments
