This is a **1-year Fixed Term Contract** role, ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in method development, validation, and analytical troubleshooting.Ipsen in Ireland is represented by a dynamic state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for our core product portfolio. We are proud to be recognised as a "Great Place to Work" and as the first pharmaceutical site in Ireland to earn both the Shingo Gold and Investors in Diversity Gold certifications.The **Senior AD Chemist** will support MS&T by optimizing processes, investigating unplanned events, validating analytical methods, and partnering with Quality and Manufacturing.**Main responsibilities include**:* Provide analytical support to projects – Develop analytical methods for raw material, intermediate, in-process or API methods. The projects may focus on current commercial processes or new chemical entities under transfer to commercial organization.* Ensure all analytical work is documented as appropriate (Laboratory Notebook, Memo, Report).* Contribute to the identification of unknowns – for example, use of LCMS applicable methods and use of LC.* Competency in most of the following analytical techniques: HPLC (Reverse Phase, Chiral, etc.) with UV, PDA and MS detection, GC with FID and MS detection, TLC, Particle Size, ICP, IR, UV, Titrimetry, Colorimetry.* Communicate the results of the analytical work effectively within MS&T and other functional areas, as applicable.To be considered for this role, you need a B.Sc. in Science (Analytical focus) and expertise in Analytical Validation requirements.
