Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a Hotel Managing Director for a prestigious luxury hotel and resort in County Wicklow. You will assume overall responsibility for operations, commercial performance and guest experience, providing visible leadership across all departments while upholding the property’s brand and sustainability ethos.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across all resort departments.
• Lead, motivate and develop Heads of Department and teams.
• Drive revenue across accommodation, F&B, events, spa and leisure.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, cash flow and profitability.
• Analyse KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy) and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to maximise opportunities.
• Report to owners on financial and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with employment, health & safety and policies.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and the local community.

Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a Hotel Managing Director for one of our clients, a prestigious luxury hotel and resort in County Wicklow. You will take overall responsibility for the resort’s operations, commercial performance and guest experience. Additionally, you will provide visible, hands‑on leadership across all departments while protecting the property’s established brand, character and sustainability ethos. This is a full‑time, permanent position requiring flexibility across 5 days over 7.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Events, Spa, Maintenance, Sales, Finance and HR.
• Lead, motivate and develop Heads of Department and wider resort teams.
• Drive revenue across accommodation, F&B, weddings, events, spa and leisure.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, cash flow, labour costs and profitability.
• Analyse KPIs including RevPAR, ADR and occupancy and implement improvement strategies.
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing to maximise commercial opportunities and grow the business.
• Report regularly to the owners on financial and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with employment, health & safety and company policies.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, local businesses and the community.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ hospitality experience, including senior General Manager or Hospitality Director experience.
• Proven experience within a 5-star country house or luxury hotel is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
• Strong operational, financial, F&B and events management experience.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
