Job summary

Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane in Dublin is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of the property. You will supervise maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure high standards, manage budgets and safety compliance, and drive energy-efficient improvements across the hotel.

This permanent, full-time role reports to the Deputy General Manager and offers development opportunities within Dalata.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a hotel environment.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Strong relationship-building with guests and team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee external contractors to ensure work is completed to a high standard and workspace is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for hotel equipment including safety items.
• Liaise with accounts to ensure purchases align with budget and approvals.
• Establish SOPs for duty managers to follow in maintenance or health and safety matters.
• Provide full training to duty managers on the SOP.
• Monitor utilities and seek energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage refurbishment or capex projects cost-effectively while complying with standards.
• Set a positive example for the team in work ethic and attendance.
