Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to manage daily workloads, perform painting, decorating, tiling, plumbing and carpentry tasks within our hotels in Ireland. You will investigate issues, coordinate with contractors, and ensure high standards of safety and preventive maintenance across facilities.

The role supports refurbishment efforts and requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with flexible hours and strong teamwork across

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is preferred.
• Safe Pass certification is a plus.
• Qualifications in trades such as painting, plumbing, or construction are desirable.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage daily workload, ensuring efficient use of resources for maintenance tasks (painting, decorating, grounds).
• Carry out maintenance tasks including tiling, plumbing and carpentry.
• Investigate and resolve process/equipment/instrumentation/control system issues.
• Ensure all maintenance procedures are up to date and repairs are carried out promptly.
• Assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions in hotel systems.
• Provide direction to contractors working in the Clayton hotel.
• Support routine maintenance and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services.
• Interact with all hotel departments and coordinate delivery of Maintenance Management support services.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and HACCP procedures.
