Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Maintenance Manager to uphold the highest maintenance standards across our properties in Ireland. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will lead a team, manage external contractors, and align purchases with budget while ensuring safety compliance.

You will also develop SOPs for duty managers, drive energy-efficiency initiatives, and oversee refurbishment projects to deliver cost-effective improvements in line with Dalata standards.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a similar hotel environment.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and be standards-driven.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Strong relationship-building skills with customers and team.
• Flexible to day-to-day demands and changes in priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Electrical and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Oversee contractors to ensure work is completed to standard and area is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for hotel equipment and safety items.
• Coordinate with accounts to ensure purchases align with budget and approvals.
• Establish SOPs for duty managers and train them accordingly.
• Modify procedures to address incidents and minimize risk.
• Monitor utilities and seek energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage refurbishment or capex with cost-effectiveness and safety compliance.
• Set example in work ethic, attitude, and attendance.
