Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group seeks a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance and safety across our Dublin-area hotels. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will supervise teams, oversee contractors, source suppliers, and drive cost-efficient refurbishments.

The role rewards initiative, energy-efficiency improvements, and strong collaboration with accounts and duty managers. Previous hospitality management experience is essential, with H&S knowledge and flexible, organised leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a hotel environment.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Strong relationship-building with customers and team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Electrical and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide general maintenance support.
• Responsible for overall Hotel Health & Safety.
• Oversee plumbers, electricians, and other contractors to ensure work is completed to a satisfactory standard and the workspace is returned to order.
• Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for all hotel and kitchen equipment, including health and safety items.
• Liaise with accounts to ensure purchases align with the budget and ensure purchase orders are completed and approved.
• Establish an SOP guide for duty managers and train them on this SOP.
• Reactively modify procedures and address reported incidents to minimize risk and recurrence.
• Monitor utilities and actively seek energy-efficient solutions.
• Project manage refurbishment or capital expenditure projects cost-effectively.
• Set a good example for your team regarding work ethic, attitude, presentation, punctuality, and attendance.
