Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Operative to ensure the safe, efficient, and well-presented operation of all areas across the property. You will work with the Engineering team to support a high-quality guest experience.

The role requires a hands-on, flexible approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior general maintenance experience is preferred, and Safe Pass is an advantage.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience or a good practical skill set.
• A hands-on, flexible approach to work.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in their work.
• Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills.
• Safe Pass would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general DIY and painting tasks.
• Submit requests to reorder supplies and spare parts as required to the Manager.
• Assist in performing a preventive maintenance programme.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order.
• Submit reports to the Engineering Manager on the condition of buildings and equipment.
• Assist in performing emergency work regarding fire, water, electricity, and other essential services.
• Maintain a high standard of work while performing duties and responsibilities.
• Follow all company procedures and policies and cooperate in maintaining them.
• Monitor the aesthetics and ensure the upkeep and immaculate appearance of the hotel.
