Talbot Hotel Midleton is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and availability for mid-week and weekend shifts, with up to 39 hours per week. The successful candidate will contribute to a clean, efficient kitchen and support chefs as needed.

We value a communicative level of English and a collaborative, hardworking attitude. Previous hotel experience is advantageous, and training opportunities are available within a progressive hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment would be a distinct advantage.
• A communicative level of English.
• Be a team player.

• Available to work midweek and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that the kitchen is maintained to an acceptable standard of hygiene at all times;
• Areas of responsibility: a) pot wash b) pot/pan storage areas c) Kitchen/larder areas and surrounds d) Rubbish skip areas e) Hygiene in kitchen and storage areas f) wash up area g)staffing areas
• To ensure that all crockery is cleaned and available for the departments as they are required;
• To assist chefs in any duties, as required;
• Work positively within the team.
