Job summary

CREGG is assisting a hospital in Limerick to recruit a Finance Manager (Grade VII) on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The role leads the finance team, supports internal controls, and delivers accurate monthly management accounts with KPIs.

The candidate will implement IFMS, partner with service leads, manage payroll/patients/payables, and contribute to budgeting and financial policy development. On-site in Limerick with attractive HSE salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification and membership in a recognised body (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3+ years PQE with proven managerial experience in finance.
• Healthcare/HSE or hospital sector experience is a plus.
• Experience with budgeting and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Finance function within the hospital.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the Head of Finance.
• Reconcile balance sheets and income/ expenditure accounts monthly.
• Develop KPI reporting and monitor financial performance against budget.
• Support annual Cost Improvement Programmes and audits.
• Assist in implementing the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).
