Job summary

Right at Home Cork is hiring carers to provide quality home care in Cork City and surrounding areas. Roles include personal and practical care tasks, helping clients live independently at home, and reporting changes to supervisors.

Training is provided, with full induction and ongoing support. Flexibility in full-time or part-time hours, competitive pay with enhanced rates on Sundays and bank holidays, and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare (Care Skills and Care of the Older Person) is essential.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience is desirable.
• Up‑to‑date moving & handling certificate is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a strong commitment to high quality care is essential.
• Full clean driver’s license with own transport is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal and practical care tasks (e.g., dressing, washing, light housekeeping).
• Observe and report on clients’ health and wellbeing.
• Promote client independence and dignity.
• Report concerns to the Supervisor team in a timely manner.
