Job summary

MERRIVILLE LIMITED in Kilkenny is seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs, servicing and fault finding on commercial vehicles. You will inspect, diagnose and service to high standards, complete paperwork, and liaise with the Workshop Manager to identify defects.

The role is based in a busy workshop, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Essential criteria include being a qualified Mechanic with a full valid driving licence and a proven track record in vehicle

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, servicing and fault finding on commercial vehicles.
• Carry out vehicle inspections, diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing and repairs.
• Complete repairs to a high standard and within timelines, following procedures.
• Liaise with Workshop Manager on progress and defects requiring attention.
• Ensure job cards and paperwork are completed accurately and maintain a tidy workshop.

Job Description

Mechanical repairs, servicing and fault finding on commercial vehicles. Carry out vehicle inspections, diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs. Complete repairs to a high standard and efficiently within timelines, in accordance with manufacture procedures. Follow warranty procedures and ensure relevant paperwork is complete. Liaise with Workshop Manager on vehicle progress and defects that may need attention. Ensure job cards and relevant paperwork is completed accurately. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment, following health and safety practices. Essential Criteria Candidates will be qualified as a Mechanic. Previous vehicle technician experience within the automotive industry. High standard of workmanship and ability to work efficiently. Good attitude and a time-conscious individual. A full valid driving licence. Working Hours - 39 hours a week (8 hours a day) - Monday to Friday
