Job description

A leading global financial services business is expanding its Cork operation and is seeking a Hedge Fund Accounting Manager to join its established fund accounting team.

This is an additional headcount created through continued business growth, offering excellent long-term prospects within a top-tier organisation. The position is open to experienced Managers, as well as strong Assistant Managers or tenured Supervisors ready to take the next step in their careers. The level and package will be tailored to the successful candidate’s experience.

The Role

You will oversee the delivery of fund accounting services across a portfolio of hedge fund clients, with responsibility for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of NAVs and associated reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the end-to-end NAV production and review process
• Overseeing a team of fund accounting professionals
• Reviewing reconciliations, valuations, fee calculations and financial reporting
• Managing client relationships and acting as a senior escalation point
• Monitoring service delivery against agreed deadlines and quality standards
• Supporting the onboarding of new funds and the implementation of new business
• Developing team members through coaching, feedback and structured training
• Strengthening operational controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Working closely with internal stakeholders across operations, custody, investor services and technology

The Person

You will ideally have:

• Strong hedge fund accounting experience gained within fund administration or asset servicing
• A thorough understanding of the NAV production and review process
• Previous experience supervising, mentoring or managing fund accounting teams
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of operational controls
• A relevant accounting, finance or professional qualification would be advantageous
