An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and technically minded Senior Service Support Engineer to join a growing HVAC team. This position offers a mix of technical sales support, estimation, project coordination, and customer support, providing exposure to the full lifecycle of HVAC projects across a diverse range of commercial and residential developments.
Working closely with senior engineers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers, you will play a key role in the design, specification, quotation, and ongoing support of HVAC solutions. This role is ideally suited to someone with 5+ years' experience within the HVAC or Building Services sector who is looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, selection, and preparation of quotations for HVAC systems, including MVHR, ductwork, pipework, chilled water, heating, and cooling solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
- Support project delivery through effective coordination with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, inspections, and assist with commissioning activities.
- Ensure HVAC designs comply with relevant energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory standards, including ASHRAE, CIBSE, LEED, and BREEAM requirements.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, building regulations, and emerging HVAC technologies.
- Provide technical after-sales support and assist with service and maintenance-related queries.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting records, and diary management.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within HVAC, M&E, or Building Services environments.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or HVAC design software such as Hevacomp, IES VE, or HAP.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and building services engineering.
- Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects of HVAC installations.
- Understanding of energy-efficient design principles and sustainable building standards.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits and training.
- Professional manner with strong customer-facing skills.
- Willingness to attend manufacturer training programmes in Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
