Job summary

AA Euro Recruitment UK is seeking Relief Healthcare Assistants to support residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities in Monaghan and surrounding areas. You will provide person-centred support to residents, helping maintain independence, dignity and quality of life across shifts.

This role offers flexible relief opportunities across services, with Garda vetting required and three written references requested.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification is required.
• Experience with adults with challenging behaviours is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We are currently recruiting Relief Healthcare Assistants to support residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities in Monaghanand surrounding areas.

As a Relief Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in providing high-quality, person-centred support to residents, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

This is a varied role that may involve working across different shifts and services depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support to residents in a residential setting.

• Assist residents with their daily living activities while promoting independence and choice.

• Support residents with personal care, where required.

• Support residents to participate in social, recreational and community activities.

• Assist with implementing individual care and support plans.

• Support individuals with challenging behaviours in a calm, respectful and professional manner.

• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification

• Minimum 6 months' experience working with adults with challenging behaviours.
• Previous experience working in an intellectual disability, social care, healthcare or residential care setting is highly desirable.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A compassionate, patient and person-centred approach.

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

• Current legal entitlement to work in Ireland.
