Job summary

The Coombe Hospital is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead Industrial/Employee Relations and HR Operations as part of our HR team. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers, resolving workplace issues with proactive HR & IR/ER support and guidance.

You will engage in consultations with local and external unions, manage workplace investigations with integrity, and provide HR support across allocated staff groups. Equality and best practice are central to our approach.

Qualifications

• Responsibilities & Accountabilities: HR & IR/ER support to managers and staff
• Engage in consultations and negotiations with unions on Employee Relations issues
• Workplace investigations with independence and integrity
• Provide HR support to managers in IR/ER matters
• Maintain relationships with trade unions and external bodies
• Coach line managers on employment law and HR best practices

Responsibilities

• Work with operations/department managers to act as a trusted advisor to managers and staff, assisting to resolve workplace issues proactively by providing HR & IR/ER support and guidance
• Engage in consultations and negotiations with union representatives (both local and external) on the full range of Employee Relations issues.
• Prepare and where/as required, present submissions/cases to the Work Place Relations (WRC).
• To manage and participate in workplace investigations ensuring that these are carried out in an independent and unbiased manner and with the utmost integrity, fairness, impartiality and respect.
• Responsibility for the provision of HR support in the IR/ER area to managers for allocated staff groups. Provide support to the HRM and other HRBP(s) as required.
• Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with trade unions, employee representatives and external bodies. Ensuring effective communication.
• To coach, support, advise and guide Line Managers on HR Best practise in relation to handling employment Law matters and employee relation issues in line with employment legislation, HR policies/procedures, HSE HR Circulars and best practice.
