Peamount Healthcare in Newcastle, Co. Dublin, is seeking a Mechanical Services Technician to join the Facilities Department on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role focuses on the safe, reliable operation, maintenance and management of mechanical building services across the campus, including heating, ventilation, and water systems. The post holder will contribute to preventive maintenance, fault response, contractor coordination, asset management and compliance, with potential responsibilities

Qualifications

• The Mechanical Services Technician will provide technical support within the Facilities Department for the safe, reliable operation, maintenance and management of mechanical building services.
• The post holder will support planned preventive maintenance, fault response and the maintenance of accurate technical records.
• The role includes liaising with internal service users, coordinating with contractors and participation in on-call rotas.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boilers and pumps.
• Support water safety and legionella control activities and MGPS-related tasks.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and assist in project work as required.
