Job summary

Connected Health is recruiting a Rapid Response Healthcare Assistant to deliver urgent in-home care across Ireland. You will support service users, join new care packages, and help keep clients safe, comfortable and independent in their communities.

The role demands 1+ year homecare experience, QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care, a driving licence and access to a car, with strong communication, organisation and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare (1+ year in Ireland)
• QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care - a formal qualification is required
• Driving licence + car - essential due to travel between clients
• Calm under pressure - because "rapid response" means things change quickly
• Strong communication & organisation - juggling visits, notes, and reporting
• Compassion + empathy - core of homecare work
• Weekend flexibility - rota-based system

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for staff shadowing - ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures
• To undertake emergency over - Rapid response (filling new packages and discharges)
• To evaluate and monitor the quality of the care delivered to clients and report to the area manager with concerns
• Checking and collecting journal notes from clients houses
• Delivery of Careplans, log sheets and gloves to client's homes when required
• Delivery of PPE
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as required*
