Job summary

Connected Health in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Ireland, is hiring a Rapid Response Healthcare Assistant to deliver urgent in-home care. Permanent full-time role with a fixed annual salary and benefits. You will support clients, travel between visits, and help ensure safety and comfort in the community.

Required QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care, 1+ year homecare experience, a valid driving licence with car, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while communicating effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare (1+ year in Ireland).
• QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Driving licence and car are essential for client travel.
• Calm under pressure; strong communication and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for staff shadowing and uphold Health & Safety policies.
• Undertake emergency rapid response (filling new packages and discharges).
• Evaluate and monitor the quality of care; report concerns to area manager.
• Check and collect journal notes from clients’ homes.
• Deliver Care Plans, log sheets, gloves to clients' homes when required.
• Deliver PPE and support other duties as needed.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To be responsible for staff shadowing – ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures
• To undertake emergency over - Rapid response (filling new packages and discharges)
• To evaluate and monitor the quality of the care delivered to clients and report to the area manager with concerns
• Checking and collecting journal notes from clients houses
• Delivery of Careplans, log sheets and gloves to client’s homes when required
• Delivery of PPE
