Job summary

Irish HomeCare in Ireland seeks qualified Healthcare Assistants to join our growing team serving Offaly and surrounding areas. You will provide personal, non‑medical care in clients’ homes, assisting with daily living tasks, mobility, nutrition and daily routines according to each Care Plan.

Applicants must hold QQI Level 5 Health or Social Care, have at least 2 years’ experience in care, a full Irish driving licence with access to a vehicle, and strong verbal and written English.

Job Description

Irish HomeCare is seeking qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our growing team in Offaly.

Location: Offaly, Co Offaly

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal, non‑medical care and assistance to clients in their own homes
• Assist with clients’ physical, nutritional and social needs as laid out in their Care Plan
• Provide personal care (washing, dressing, assisting with continence care), mobilise, assist with feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, etc.

Requirements

• A major award in Health or Social Care or equivalent (Qualified to Level 5 on the QQI Framework)
• Previous care or healthcare experience
• A general understanding of geriatric health and mobility issues
• Strong verbal communication skills and good command of spoken and written English
• A full Irish (or Irish recognised) Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential

Hours of Work

39 hours per week. Must be available to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Salary

€32,691 per annum
