Job summary

Irish HomeCare is seeking qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Balbriggan, delivering high-quality home care services to clients in the local community.

Role involves personal, non-medical care, assisting with daily living activities and implementing Care Plans. A Level 5 QQI in Health/Social Care and a full driving licence are required, with English fluency and strong communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant
Location: Balbriggan Co Dublin

About the Role

Irish HomeCare is seeking qualified and experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our growing team in Balbriggan. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing home care services to our clients in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal, non-medical care and assistance to clients in their own homes
• Assist with clients’ physical, nutritional and social needs as laid out in their Care Plan
• Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, assisting with continence care, mobilising, assistance with feeding, meal preparation, light housekeeping, etc.

Requirements

• A major award in Health or Social Care or equivalent (Qualified to Level 5 on the QQI Framework)
• Previous care or healthcare experience
• A general understanding of geriatric health and mobility issues
• Strong verbal communication skills and good command of spoken and written English
• A full Irish (or Irish recognised) Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential

Working Hours

39 hours per week. Must be available to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons and evenings (including weekends and bank holidays)

Salary

€32,691 per annum
