Job summary

Westcare Homecare Ltd in Castlebar is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to provide personal care, companionship, and support for clients in their own homes. Earn up to €21.50/hour with flexible hours, paid mileage, training, and rewards as part of a supportive team.

You'll help with daily tasks, support mobility, monitor wellbeing, and report concerns, while building real, local relationships and making a meaningful difference in the community.

Qualifications

• Full Irish driving licence and access to a car.
• QQI Level 5 or equivalent.
• Caring, reliable, and positive attitude.
• Experience in care is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with daily tasks (washing, dressing, meals).
• Support mobility and independence.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns; help create a safe, comfortable home environment.
