Job summary

Sisk Group is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to provide direct operational support to project teams, ensuring health, safety, environment and wellbeing standards are applied on site.

You will lead safety leadership, compliance and culture across projects, delivering safety plans, toolbox talks and regular reporting to leadership. Strong knowledge of legislation and proven site experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and construction best practice.
• Proven experience managing health and safety on large construction projects.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Excellent organisational, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to identify, assess and manage risks in dynamic project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the health and safety function on assigned projects.
• Provide advice and direction to project managers, engineers and supervisors on safety requirements.
• Ensure safety is embedded in planning, delivery and close-out stages of the project.
• Lead development and review of project safety plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Carry out inspections, audits and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and provide support where required.
• Prepare and present regular safety reports to project and business unit leadership.
