Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment is assisting a growing electrical engineering company to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor. The role is field-based across Dublin and North Leinster, working closely with site management, employees and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will have a third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, experience in construction or utilities, and strong knowledge of Irish

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Experience in construction, engineering or utilities.
• Knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction site requirements.
• Experience with site inspections, risk assessments, audits and RAMS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with site teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety workshops.
• Review RAMS and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and address unsafe practices.
• Maintain site safety records, training documentation, certificates and qualifications.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Provide practical health and safety guidance to site teams and management.
• Ensure compliance with Irish legislation, construction regulations and ISO 45001 standards.
