AM Safety is expanding, and we’re looking for a qualified Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This is a varied role supporting clients across a range of industries, including construction, water and wastewater, manufacturing and commercial services.

You’ll work from home when carrying out reporting and administrative tasks, with travel to client sites during the week. There is no fixed company office base. The frequency and location of site visits will depend on client requirements.

Competenze

• Qualified in occupational health and safety with formal accreditation.
• Practical experience in health and safety roles.
• Solid knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and its workplace application.
• Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good report-writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
• Suitable home workspace for remote working.

Mansioni

• Carry out site visits, inspections and audits, identify risks, and support corrective actions.
• Prepare and review safety statements, risk assessments, method statements, and other safety documentation.

• Review contractor documentation, training records, and site safety arrangements.

The role

You’ll work closely with clients to help them manage health and safety in a practical, effective way. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out site visits, inspections and audits, identifying risks and supporting corrective actions.
• Preparing and reviewing Safety Statements, risk assessments, method statements and other health and safety documentation.
• Providing clear advice to clients on health and safety requirements and good practice.
• Reviewing contractor documentation, training records and site safety arrangements.
• Supporting accident and incident investigations and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.
• Delivering toolbox talks, site inductions and occasional training, within your qualifications and competence.
• Supporting health and safety management systems, including ISO 45001 and Safe-T-Cert, where required.
• Attending client meetings, preparing reports and following up on agreed actions.
• Working with colleagues to coordinate client support and maintain accurate records.

Essential requirements

• A recognised qualification in occupational health and safety.
• Relevant practical experience in a health and safety role.
• A sound understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and its application in the workplace.
• A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to client sites.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients and site teams.
• Good report-writing skills, attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office.
• The ability to manage your workload independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• A suitable home workspace for remote working.

Pay: €35,000.00-€60,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kilcormac, County Offaly
