Job summary

RECRUITERS is seeking an experienced Site Health & Safety Manager for a manufacturing operation in Monaghan, Ireland. This leadership role focuses on shaping a strong safety culture, enhancing operational practices, and upholding top health, safety, and compliance standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or IOSH qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification Health & Safety experience in manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve site Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement appropriate control measures.
• Support and coach managers and supervisors in maintaining safe working practices.
• Lead site audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action programmes.
• Deliver health and safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Monitor and report on safety performance, compliance activities, and key metrics.
• Chair safety meetings and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Drive employee engagement and behavioural safety initiatives to strengthen the site's safety culture.
• Provide expert guidance on occupational health, ergonomics, equipment safety, and safe systems of work.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Monaghan.

This is a key leadership role offering the chance to drive a strong safety culture, influence operational best practice, and ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across the site.

• Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard business applications.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Previous training or coaching experience would be advantageous.
